This Smith Creek F5 is a gem of a mandolin and one of my favorites to come through the shop. Outside of the X bracing, this is a very traditional build with specs and appointments that pay homage to Loar era design. Weighing in at just 2 lbs 1 oz, it’s exceptionally light. Tonally, its very open and woody with beautiful bell highs. This is one that’s been hard for me to put down!

There is a hairline crack (Seen in photos) that runs along side of the fretboard extension that has recently been repaired with hot hide glue and is stable. Specs listed below…
