I built this mandolin last year for a dear friend of mine. He just took possession of an X braced A5 to replace it after deciding that he preferred an A body shape. This F5 is in excellent condition and has one of the most beautiful maple backs that I’ve come across.  The top is Carpathian spruce which delivers a very appealing chime and focused voicing. It’s triple bound with side perfling (top and side stripe) and has a slightly thinner neck profile. Nut width is 1 3/32’s.  Outfitted with a magnetic truss rod cover, Premium Rubner tuners and engraved James tailpiece.
