Here's a beautiful Martin OM-18 Authentic with a big sound. The shading on the amber burst top is stunning - One of the nicest shade-tops iv seen on a modern Martin. This 2013 example was built before Martin started using VTS torrified tops and is considered by many to be the best recreation of an early 30's OM that Martin ever produced.

The guitar is in excellent condition with minimal wear. There is some minor binding tear on the back due to Martin's well known binding shrinking issues. These areas can be seen in the listing photos.

It sounds surprisingly robust for an OM. It's very even with cutting highs and a structured, woody low end. It's currently set up with medium/low action and plays like a dream. Specs listed below.

  • Adirondack spruce top

  • Mahogany back, side, and neck

  • Ebony neck rod

  • Ebony fingerboard

  • Hide glue construction

  • 1933 style belly bridge

  • Antique acoustic bridge pins

  • 2 3/8 string spacing at sattle

  • Hand-carved replica V neck profile

  • Scalloped bracing with period correct 5/16” X brace and 1/4” tone bars
